At the foot of the Wilder Kaiser and Zahme Kaiser mountains lie the idyllic vacation villages of Kössen, Walchsee, Schwendt and Rettenschöss.

Winter: The perfectly groomed, free cross-country ski trail network (120 km skating, 119 km classic) and family-friendly ski areas with fair prices are suitable for beginners and professionals alike. Snowshoe tours - guided or alone - are also a special vacation experience. Winter hiking is possible in the Kaiserwinkl region on 80 kilometers of winter hiking trails.
